Samera Vaseer MD



Dr. Samera Vaseer completed her medical education from one of the most prestigious institutions in the subcontinent , King Edward Medical University in Pakistan, before moving to the United States. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine from the State University of NewYork/Long Island College Hospital. She worked as a hospitalist physician in Middletown, NewYork before moving to Oklahoma for training in Rheumatology. She graduated from Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center, Rheumatology fellowship program in 2013 before joining the university as a faculty member.


Dr. Vaseer has been serving as a director of rheumatology residents clinic and working as an assistant program director for Rheumatology fellowship program at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. She has a successful practice in OU physicians specialty clinics while also serving veterans at OKC VA. She has special interest in treating patients with connective tissue disease related lung diseases, systemic sclerosis, vasculitis and rheumatoid arthritis. She helped establish a multidisciplinary clinic focusing on connective tissue disease related interstitial lung diseases. ILD meetings are held monthly and are a valuable source for treatment of complex diseases for patients as well as community.
