Dr. Chetty was born in India to parents with medical careers and from an early age growing up in the rural campus of a Medical school witnessed the power of mentorship and encouragement on learners. As a fresh medical school graduate, he worked for two years in a rural medically underserved area off the west coast of India. In June 1983 he came to Tulsa, Oklahoma as a member of his immigrant family to join a residency in Anesthesiology. His lifelong desire was to teach like his parents, so in February 1990 he joined the faculty of the OU College of Medicine. Over the past thirty + years he has been privileged to help mentor/train hundreds of Anesthesiologists and as importantly encourage young learners at every level to believe in themselves, have a plan, work hard and achieve their dream.
