Dr. Ami Bax is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  She received her M.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine-Tulsa and has also received her undergradate degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master’s in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bax is a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and the American Academy of PediatricsShe is an Oklahoma Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Fellow and now serves as a junior faculty member for the program. Dr. Bax serves as medical director for the OU Child Study Center and directs the Child Study Center’s JumpStart Autism and Developmental Delay Evaluation Clinic. She also enjoys providing diagnostic and treatment care for children with ADHD, autism, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and other behavioral health problems. She directs the OU Pediatric Resident rotation in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and is conducting research related to pediatric residents’ parenting and discipline advice and training.
