Adam S. Asch, MD

Dr. Adam Asch is the Senior Deputy Director for the Stephenson Cancer Center - and Section Chief of Hematology / Oncology for the OU College of Medicine. Dr. Asch recently moved to Oklahoma from East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, where he served as the Director of Oncology and Division Chief of Medical Oncology.

 

He earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Cornell University Medical College in New York, where he remained as a faculty member engaged in research and clinical medicine until his move to North Carolina.

 

Dr. Asch’s clinical research interests include vascular and stem cell biology and cancer biology. His research has been supported in the past by competitively awarded grants from the National Institutes of Health and other national agencies.

 

Dr. Asch believes in providing Oklahoma patients with world-class care through access to novel therapies and expert treatment teams. He specializes in blood cancers, specifically lymphoma and leukemia, and maintains an active clinical practice in addition to his leadership roles.

 

In his free time, Dr. Asch enjoys spending time with family, staying active with some of his favorite hobbies - tennis and sailing.
