Mr. Kelsey has had over 35 years of experience in the field of healthcare with the majority of time spent in Executive Health Management. After receiving his undergraduate degree in business management from Oklahoma Christian University and while obtaining his MBA degree at the University of Central Oklahoma, Mr. Kelsey was starting his healthcare career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma.

 

From there, he became the Associate Director with the Oklahoma State Medical Association and expanded his abilities as the primary legislative liaison between medical doctors and the Oklahoma State Legislature. During the next eighteen (18) years, he excelled in association management and lobbying skills with several promotions and receiving the designation (1992) as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

 

During a short hiatus from the medical association, Mr. Kelsey served as President and CEO with an Oklahoma Home Health Care Company for 4 years. The company was publicly traded on NASDAQ with annual revenue of 5 million. 

 

Presently, he is the Executive Director for the Oklahoma state agency, The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision that licenses and supervises the professions of medical doctors and 14 other categories of healthcare professionals. He also serves as administrator for 2 separate health professional licensing boards: Podiatry & Perfusionists in Oklahoma. In 2002, Mr. Kelsey was recognized as one of 20 Certified Medical Board Executives (CMBE) nationwide by the United States Federation of State Medical Boards.

 

Professionally, he recently served on the Board of Directors of the Federation of State Medical Boards, Inc. and previously completed a 2 year term as president of the Administrators in Medicine (AIM) organization comprised of the 70 executive directors of state medical and osteopathic boards.

 

From 2004 to Present, He serves as adjunct faculty for Oklahoma Christian University in health care, Leadership and business management.

 

He was honorably discharged from a 2 year term in the US Army during the Viet Nam Era.
