Michael Montgomery



Michael Montgomery is a nationally and locally registered Paramedic, as well as, the Assistant Chief of the Deer Creek Fire Protection District here in the OKC Metro area. Primarily, he is the Fire Service Teacher at Metro Technology Centers on the South Bryant Campus in Oklahoma City. He has been in fire and EMS services since May of 2000 and completed his Associate Degree in Municipal Fire Protection at Oklahoma State University in 2006. He has been a paramedic for EMSA in Oklahoma City, Deer Creek Fire Protection District and spent three years as a flight paramedic for Air Evac. Besides his professional career, he has been a snake enthusiast since he was a little boy. He has spent many years searching, collecting, and studying snakes in many parts of the United States, but especially here in Oklahoma. He has spent several years educating family, friends, and strangers that snakes are not to be feared and that if understood, they are a useful part of people’s lives. His professional interests include tactical medicine, forcible entry, auto extrication, and hazardous materials. His personal interests include “herping”, outdoors, kickball, and shopping.
