Joined the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine faculty in 1999 as an assistant professor.  In 2005 became the Medical Director over our clinical operations, and the Program Director for the residency training program.  In 2009 became the interim Department Chair and in 2010 was appointed the Paul & Ruth Jonas Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery (ENT) for the University of Oklahoma.   My practice is at the Stephenson Cancer Center where I take care of patients with cancers of the skin, mouth, nose, throat, thyroid and salivary glands.  I am the Director of the Fellowship training program for Advanced Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma.  My research interests included the impact of malnutrition on cancer patients, minimally invasive surgical techniques and rehabilitation after cancer surgery in the head & neck.   I have authored a book chapter on management of melanoma in the head & neck and have presented nationally on current management of melanoma skin cancer.
