Biographical Sketch for Robert C

 

 

Dr. Elizabeth Wickersham is an Assistant Professor in the Research Division at the University of Oklahoma Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine with a certificate in Added Qualifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Prior to accepting a position at OU, she cared for patients in a variety of settings throughout fifteen years in private practice, including office-based practice, hospital care and hospice care.

 

She is currently involved in several community-based research projects including her master’s thesis work on improving the adoption of Advance Directives in the state of Oklahoma. In an effort to further strengthen her research background, she is in the process of completing a Master’s program in Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Oklahoma.

 

Dr. Wickersham has been the Director of the OUHSC Family Medicine Clin-IQ Program since July 2014. This is the program designed in the Family Medicine program to meet the scholarly activity requirements for graduation. 

 

Her presentation today draws on the findings from another research project with which she has been involved for several years, A Good Death.
