Lindsey Claire Epperson, DO
Disclosures: Nothing to disclose

Dr. Claire Epperson serves as Assistant Instructor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She's currently a medical toxicology fellow at UT Southwestern and works with the North Texas Poison Center, in addition to providing inpatient toxicology consultations at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and Children's Medical Center of Dallas.

She’s from Norman, Oklahoma. Following medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine she completed residency in emergency medicine at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Her current practice and training focus on the management and acute care of patients with poisoning, overdose, and substance use disorders. She especially enjoys working with chemical and environmental exposures, and has a dedicated interest in the management of snake bites. Her current research focuses on the use of bedside point of care ultrasound in the evaluation and progression of North American pit viper envenomation.

When she’s not working in the hospital, she enjoys alpinism and rock climbing in the mountains with her husband (while carefully avoiding any formidable rattlesnakes on the hiking trails, of course.)
