Best practice trauma care is ever evolving and changing based on evidenced based practices and continuous research on the subject. Trauma Grand Rounds is a monthly one-hour presentation incorporating active learning techniques including: case studies, quality improvement review, and question and answer opportunities. Because of the diversity of Trauma and the wide range of diverse clinical cases seen, a wide variety of topics are presented which are relevant to both generalists and subspecialists.

1. Recognize and discuss complications and errors in a non-punitive environment and identify necessary clinical practice changes
2. Recognize and prevent repetition of errors leading to complications and relate good communication to medical personnel

Accreditation Statement: The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
