The Academy of Teaching Scholars Lunch and Learn program is a great opportunity for medical and health professions educators to gain continuing education on a variety of education related topics. This format allows for the presentation of best-practices, recent study and practical education skills. Presenters are subject matter experts who not only present but engage in discussion. The program also encourages interprofessional educators to interact and learn from each other. It is important for educators to stay abreast of recent medical education research, student development theories, and education skills in both the didactic and clinical settings.

1. Utilize technology and resources to improve teaching techniques and skills
2. Identify ways to incorporate educational research and scholarship into current workload
3. Enhance verbal and written communication skills pertinent to medical education

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Non-Clinical Activity:
The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Office of Continuing Professional Development has determined this activity to be non-clinical.
