The purpose & overall goal of this activity is to improve the care of pediatric trauma patients by providing a conference for internal and external healthcare providers. Oklahoma Children's Hospital is the only pediatric level 1 trauma center in the state and pediatric trauma education will benefit healthcare providers in Oklahoma. The following topics will be presented: - Nicholas Sader, MD: Traumatic brain injuries & concussion care - Paul McGaha, MD & Alessandra Landmann, MD: Pediatric Trauma Surgery Case Studies - David Seastrom, RN: Chiefs Parade Mass Shooting Response - Kaylun Peters, RN: Neoflight Patient Care - Curtis Knoles, MD: Pediatric Trauma Resuscitation and Whole Blood The target audience for the conference is nurses, physicians, students, residents, pre-hospital providers (EMS), & respiratory therapists.

1. Identify and understand challenges associated with the care of the pediatric trauma patients and verbalize practice changes that will have a positive impact on pediatric trauma patient outcomes.
2. Discuss hot topics in pediatric trauma critical care and how to apply them to practice.
3. Define pediatric traumatic brain injuries and concussion care to improve patient outcomes.
4. Plan interventions for pediatric patients in hemorrhagic shock.
5. Apply current guidelines and recommendations for concussion care.
6. Compare conventional triage to mass casualty triage.
7. Apply current guidelines and recommendations to pediatric trauma patient care.
