Overview

The purpose of this activity is to enhance the knowledge, competence, and performance of healthcare professionals involved in the care of pediatric trauma patients through evidence-based education and expert-led discussion of current pediatric trauma practices.

As Oklahoma Children's Hospital is the state's only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, many healthcare professionals throughout Oklahoma have limited exposure to pediatric trauma patients. This conference is designed to address educational needs related to the evaluation, stabilization, management, and transfer of injured children, while providing updates on emerging concepts and current evidence-based recommendations in pediatric trauma care.

The target audience includes physicians, nurses, residents, students, prehospital providers (EMS), respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of pediatric trauma patients.
