The purpose of this course is to review and discuss a variety of current orthopedic problems and to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas between the course faculty and visitors.  Quality improvement presentations and scientific papers presented by our residents with faculty support showcases the research efforts of our doctors throughout the academic year.  Our faculty lecturers are nationally recognized in the field of orthopedic surgery and provide excellent presentations to our residents and faculty as well as the community physicians and other participants in an educational setting, benefiting all.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will improve their competence and performance by being able to: 

  1. Describe through didactic lecture updates and case presentation the current evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic topics
  2. Identify through case presentations and discussions the evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic surgery related topics.
  3. Review updates on new approaches for the evaluation and management of orthopedic problems, particularly in the areas of adult reconstruction, hand surgery, foot-ankle, trauma, pediatric surgery and quality improvement. Recognize complications related to various forms of treatment of orthopedic repair and reconstructive procedures.
