Overview

The Office of Continuing Professional Development will present information concerning the ACCME new menu of criteria including advancing team-based education, addressing public health, enhancing skills, and achieving outcomes. Our hope is this meeting will be invigorating and give you the opportunity to reflect, gain new ideas, and celebrate together.  

Presentation and review of the 2018-2019 OU COM, and OU Physician quality goals and how to link your RSS sessions to these goals as well as reporting (telling the story) to ACCME.

This training will provide hands-on experience in using the Cloud System, including using the Cloud App, pre and post-test polling, and completing the online evaluation.  Additionally, the new two year application will be covered and the timeline will be reviewed. 
Objectives

Upon completion of this session, participants will improve their competence and performance by being able to:


  1. Review the ACCME’s Standards of Commercial Support.
  2. Review the definition of conflict of interest and transparency
  3. Review the ACCME’s new criteria for Accreditation with Commendation
  4. Describe the current guidance from the professional, accreditation, and regulatory organizations that influence and oversee accreditation
  5. Recognize the four main professional, accreditation and regulatory organization categories
  6. Identify the criteria requirements for faculty participating an accredited activity.
  7. Examine the new CloudCME polling service, Cloud app and faculty portal

Accreditation

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
