The “In-Person” option has been cancelled. For those attendees who already registered for the In-Person option the Office of Continuing Professional Development will send an email asking if the registrant prefers to attend the conference virtually or receive a refund on the registration fee. Thank you for your patience and understanding as well as your support of the 47th Annual Advances in Pediatrics: Meeting the Needs of Oklahoma’s Children conference.

This activity is designed to foster improvements in physicians' and other healthcare providers' knowledge, competence and performance in general pediatrics by exploring what constitutes ideal evidence-based practice and applying that ideal across varied healthcare arenas. This fast-paced course will augment the
traditional lecture format with expert panel discussions to enhance knowledge base and skill sets. Audience response systems will provide participants with immediate feedback, allowing the opportunity to reinforce comprehension and retention of key learning objectives The course combines the latest in evidence-based medicine and best-practice strategies relevant to the topics being addressed. A full syllabus of educational materials will be provided on line as
a resource for those practitioners. 

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will improve their competence and performance by being able to:

  1. Analyze and increase their knowledge on digital media use among children.
  2. Appraise and increase their comfort level in treating pediatric obesity.
  3. Identify and improve their identification and treatment of children with problematic sexual behavior.
