Overview
The 46th Annual Advances in Pediatrics is a one-day course for community Pediatricians provides an update of what is currently known about COVID-19 in the pediatric patient population both nationally and locally.  The course is taught by 17 national and local experts. Each lecture based, active learning session will include time for questions.  The course combines best practice strategies and education through case studies and lectures. The comprehensive syllabus materials are provided as a resource for today's office practice. The purpose of this educational activity is to improve the care of patients seen in primary care settings by closing common clinical practice gaps that have been identified across the country.


Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will improve their competence and performance by being able to:

  1. Describe sign and symptoms that you may see in the pediatric population as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. Describe new strategies for treating signs and symptoms in the pediatric population as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  3. Explain 2 strategies you might use to convince parents to get their children vaccinated against SARS- CoV-2.

The annual conference registration fee includes online course materials and CME credit.
No registration refunds will be made after April 2, 2021.
Written notification of cancellation must be postmarked before April 2, 2021.
Cancellation fee is $100.
Confirmations will be emailed. (This annual conference is subject to cancellation if registration is insufficient, in which case all registration fees will be refunded.)

Accreditation

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity and individual assessment of and feedback to the learner, enables the learner to earn up to 6.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

All ABP MOC credits will be reported at the end of the fiscal year on your behalf.
