This conference is designed to enhance and improve in-office screenings.  Participants will learn appropriate behavior management, medication treatment, and school resources.
 
During the Autism workshop, participants will learn about the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric Physician Consultation Service offered by the physicians and nurse practitioner at the Child Study Center and available to all physicians in the state of Oklahoma.


Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will improve their competence and performance by being able to:

  1. Describe how to better identify and screen for autism spectrum disorders
  2. Formulate an effective treatment plan with both non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic treatments
  3. Demonstrate how to appropriately refer for services in the home, community, and school settings
